The original Canberra Bus Shelter Lamp, officially endorsed by the estate of Clem Cummings, the architect behind Canberra's iconic concrete bus shelters.

Designed, 3D printed, and hand assembled by us right here in Canberra, our lamp is a tabletop tribute to one of the city's most recognisable pieces of suburban architecture.

As the very first to transform this much-loved Canberra icon into a functional lamp, we've created more than just a light. It's a warm glow for the memories made possible by Clem Cummings' iconic design, from first kisses and endless summer nights to cheeky shenanigans with friends.

Powered by USB-C and radiating a warm 3000K glow, the lamp features our distinctive top-mounted on/off button, seamlessly integrated into the roofline to keep the design clean, intuitive, and true to the shelter's minimalist form.

Usually, a lit-up bus shelter means it's late, dark, and you'd rather be literally anywhere else.

This version, though, is all warmth, comfort, and zero chance of a delayed bus.

WHEN WILL THE LAMPS BE BACK IN STOCK?

We are currently working around the clock to fulfil all of our 1300 preorders! We are aiming to have stock ready to ship by mid-September.

ARE YOU REALLY THE ORIGINAL BUS SHELTER LAMP?

Absolutely! When we launched back in April 2026, we did extensive market research to see if there were any other bus shelter lamps out there. We were very stoked to be the first!

WHERE IS MY PREORDER?

If you've placed a preorder (thank you!) and are looking for an update, please check the Shipping Update section below for the most up to date information.

ARE THESE REALLY HANDMADE?

Yes! We designed and 3D modelled every part of the lamp, then 3D print them ourselves. Once the prints are finished, each one is individually prepped, sanded, filed, thermoformed, glued and assembled. We also hand-wire every lamp with a custom LED and USB-C cable.

And it’s all done by just the two of us, 100 metres from an actual Canberra bus stop. So yes, when we say handmade in Canberra, we really mean it!

CAN YOU MAKE A WIRELESS VERSION?

Not currently! A wireless version is possible, but it requires a rechargeable battery and comes with additional safety and compliance considerations.

There are off-the-shelf wireless light kits that could make this easier, but we want to make the best possible light rather than simply fitting a pre-made light into the lamp.

For now, we’ve kept ours USB-C powered for a brighter, more reliable light, while we work towards a wireless version we’re genuinely happy with!

WHAT TYPE OF PLUG CAN I USE?

Our lamps use standard 5V USB power, so you can use them with any certified 5V USB power adapter.

It doesn’t need to be rated for a specific wattage, as the lamp only draws the power it needs!

We’re currently in the process of sourcing our own recommended USB power adapters to offer as an add-on, but until then, any good-quality, certified 5V adapter from a reputable brand will work.
